Dr Longbottom BDS MS
Dr. Richard Longbottom is a renowned specialist in implant dentistry, perioscopy and periodontology. Dr Longbottom completed his undergraduate education at Otago University in 1981 and continued his Post-Graduate trainIng at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC, in the United States, he has been working in New Zealand since 2001 to bring healthy and beautiful smiles to patients. Dr. Longbottom well regarded amonst his peers and lectures internationally on advancements implant dentistry, periodontics and perioscopy.
Recognizing the importance of keeping up with the latest advancements in his field, Dr. Longbottom continues to devote considerable time attending conferences, and lecturing in New Zealand and abroad.
Dr. Longbottom is a member of numerous professional organizations and is a Fellow of the International Team of Implantology, Member of the New Zealand Dental Association, Member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Member of the Academy of Osseointegration and The New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Richard Longbottom went to the USA with his parents for 15 years and returned to Dunedin to commence his tertiary education. He was an associate dentist in Christchurch for 2 years and then returned to Auckland where he set up a clinic in the Eastern Suburbs and where he lives with his wife and 4 children.
